What a wonderful weekend we had! Many thanks go out to the staff and volunteers of Equestrian Club Country for letting us set up camp in their pasture. We were able to raise just under $600.00 for the farm with the additional rides, open house and garage sale.
We had about 12 persons on this 1st ever camping event for ECC and what a great time was had by all. Dinner was Dutch oven prepared and we enjoyed Tennessee Jambalaya and Camp Stew. For Dessert we enjoyed a Dutch oven Turtle Cake and S-mores around an amazing bonfire. It was quite cold that evening so we were happy to have such a wonderful campfire to sit around! One of the Not a Clue volunteers performed a fire dance that was quite entertaining. After an evening of dancing and sharing stories around the fire we all got snuggled down in our sleeping bags and we soon dreaming under the stars. For breakfast we enjoyed cinnamon rolls and breakfast pizza made in the Dutch ovens- there were no left-over’s….Once the horses were all fed and garage sale items set up some of the campers got to groom and ride the horses while others went cane pole fishing. Due to the cool and windy weather, there were not as many visitors to the open house Saturday as we would have liked, so the day went on at an informal pace and everyone got a lot of time to just enjoy the farm and get to meet the many horses – dogs and the resident duck waddles.
Again, thank you to Glenda and her staff at ECC for a wonderful event and we look forward to the next camp-out March 13-14 2009. Call to reserve your space today! Not A Clue Adventures 813-789-0904
