A busy April…

Wow, am I glad we have had such wonderful weather through April! I have spent a lot of time outside and it has been wonderful. I have had many nice walks in the evening with Bo. I got to go canoeing with a great friend down the Hillsborough River, I did a company camping trip for BroadSource Technologies employees and families that was wonderful! The last days of the month I did a campout with Equestrian Club Country  (www.equestrianclubcountry.org for photos).

It was so much fun taking Phil and Amy and their kids out camping, Lisa and Paul and Monty were just as much fun. We all spent the weekend acting like big kids. We hiked many trails, took canoe rides, did a little fishing and had lots to eat. Making new friend was another adventure. Even Bo made friends with the first dog he ever me bigger then him! It was all we could do to keep him from jumping up in the golf cart when Sampson’s owners drove by with him in the back. Hanna and Phil had Monty help make them spears and fans and their soon imaginations were running loose! Lil Phil became a silent hunter in the woods and Monty was there to urge him on. Phil spent many hours at play with the kids and you could tell they just adored the time with him! Lisa and Paul loved checking out the wildlife at the park and the many trails Hillsborough River State Park has to offer. I believe with was a very satisfying weekend and they were ready to immediately book a fall trip afterwards.

The following weekend we did the last campout of the spring at Equestrian Club Country. The kids were very entertaining around the camp fire and in the boats the following afternoon! Kim and George made sure they all got to ride the horses and afterwards I pulled an ice cold watermelon from the cooler and sliced it up. It did not take long for it to disappear either.

So April has now passed and May and the humidity is upon us. Time to start working on a tubing trip up the Rainbow River, plan a manatee boat tour and check out more parks and places to take everyone!

If you are interested in booking an outing with us please email or call us! We would love to hear from you! Summer is a great time to try a canoe trip, tubing and hiking!

On a final note, we have booked spots for Halloween weekend at Hillsborough River State Park. Please contact us immediately if you are interested in attending this Group Camping Event as space is selling out quick!

About notacluegal

Jeanene was born in Pittsburgh, PA. As a young child her family was very active in the outdoors. Things changed when her parents decided to travel down different paths in life and with that decision so went many of the opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Being lucky to live in the suburbs Jeanene always had a backyard to play in and loved being outdoors. As the years passed she took every opportunity to be outdoors. She bought land in Tennessee and as a single mom moved her young daughter to the mountains. The were many life lessons learned on that mountain. There was no plumbing on the property – or even a house, but that did not stop her. She learned to live off of what was available and built her own cabin from the trees on her property. Those were rough years but the most rewarding. Now Jeanene resides in Tampa, Fl. and works as an office manager full time….but still yeans to be outdoors. Jeanene started “Not a Clue Adventures” to teach everyone she could how wonderful the outdoors are! That camping and fishing and hiking can be done by everyone and at many different levels. Single mom’s no longer have to be afraid to take their sons and daughters outdoors. By working with young couples, single parents and even seniors, she gets to teach others about her love for the outdoors and hopes to open their eyes to new adventures. In 2009, Jeanene completed certification as a Leave No Trace Instructor. She also works closely with the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) and the Florida State Parks. Jeanene is also certified in First Aid/Adult CPR.
