Many do not know that Not a Clue adventures offers birthday parties. We bring out all the decorations, party favors, a “Trail Mix Bar”, provide activities, and lead hikes!

Our most recent party was for a group of about 45 persons, thanks goodness not all were kids! When our guests arrived all the tents were set up and we were ready to party! We held this fun event at Hillsborough River State Park, where there are many great things for kids to do.

Hike to the river

Fishing and canoeing are close by; parents can rent a surry for the guests to pedal around. There are many short hikes, a large swimming and concession area and lots of places for kids to run, play and bike.

We had a great time eating pizza and on this party the mom custom made a cake to match the theme of the party. I have to say she did a great job! We went through over 12 gallons of lemonade, fruit punch and iced tea! After all the eating we took the kids on a short hike to see the river and came back for cake and presents!

Time for cake!

Some of the party guests were not spending the night so they headed home and we got to relax to some wonderful tunes provided by Benjamin DeHart , Florida’s own “Cracker Tenor”.

Ben even brought his dog Wrangler to show the kids some trick and entertain! We had so much fun listening to Ben but it was soon time for dinner and tonight’s menu had Tennessee Jambalaya and  Chicken with Yellow Rice.

After dinner we let the kids all make campfire cones and smores and to wear them out a bit we even took them on a night hike back to the river and used flashlights to look for alligators. They all loved this and were perfectly safe 6 feet above the water line behind a fence.

Soon the kids were all slowly nodding off and being carried to the tents to sleep under the stars. We wore them out, but it took a toll on us to! My volunteers Bonnie, Deborah and I slept like logs that night!

We were up early for breakfast and went through many pots of coffee with the parents. After breakfast the parents all took the kids fishing and we broke camp. Lunch was provided before we headed home and all had a good time!

If you are interested in having a birthday party for someone you know, please give us a call! We can design a custom trip for as little as 2 persons up to 40-50. We can camp, hike, backpack, or take an overnight trip down a river. There is so much to see and do in Florida! It will be a birthday to remember!

About notacluegal

Jeanene was born in Pittsburgh, PA. As a young child her family was very active in the outdoors. Things changed when her parents decided to travel down different paths in life and with that decision so went many of the opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Being lucky to live in the suburbs Jeanene always had a backyard to play in and loved being outdoors. As the years passed she took every opportunity to be outdoors. She bought land in Tennessee and as a single mom moved her young daughter to the mountains. The were many life lessons learned on that mountain. There was no plumbing on the property – or even a house, but that did not stop her. She learned to live off of what was available and built her own cabin from the trees on her property. Those were rough years but the most rewarding. Now Jeanene resides in Tampa, Fl. and works as an office manager full time….but still yeans to be outdoors. Jeanene started “Not a Clue Adventures” to teach everyone she could how wonderful the outdoors are! That camping and fishing and hiking can be done by everyone and at many different levels. Single mom’s no longer have to be afraid to take their sons and daughters outdoors. By working with young couples, single parents and even seniors, she gets to teach others about her love for the outdoors and hopes to open their eyes to new adventures. In 2009, Jeanene completed certification as a Leave No Trace Instructor. She also works closely with the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) and the Florida State Parks. Jeanene is also certified in First Aid/Adult CPR.
